Therfect family holiday tradition

First of all we stayed during thanksgiving week. The amount of families and kids having fun and exploring nature was so refreshing! The check in was quick and easy. Even though I messed up my reservation the campground made the accommodations available work for myself, my partner, and our dog. The walk from the camp to the beach was short and the bathhouse was close and clean as well! This was a great experience for us and a place every family should visit and try.

Our first roof top tent experience

My partner and I were traveling to Richmond, we needed a quick place to stop and rest. We reached out the day of and the owners of the property were so kind, accommodating, and understanding. They set us up with firewood, and all the necessary equipment to have a wonderful night under the stars. The icing on the cake was waking up and spending some time with their horses and goats and this really sweet orange cat. The property was gorgeous and the experience was wonderful.

Fun, adventure, friendship

My partner and I took our dog on a quick impromptu weekend trip, we drove about 2 hours. Once reaching the off road trail my partner got nervous, feeling as if our Forrester wouldn’t make it up. My advice… come prepared. I got. Flat on the way up and was able to make it to my campsite. The campground was well kept, well placed, not to mention the next morning part of the crew that maintains the area helped us fix our flat. Some of the other campers introduced themselves and were extremely friendly and helpful. Some had been camping there for 40yrs. The fire pits are well built and there is plenty of kindling and tinder to find right off the trails. If you’re comping at night time and want a fire bring a starter log. This time of year the wood was a little damp as we arrived late. Other than that bring plenty of water there are creeks and running water around but no running water at the sites, if you’re a must have shower person bring a shower bag. The sights were magical and the salt lick for the ponies wasn’t far so if you’re looking for a weekend getaway with great sites, a little adventure and a whole lot of beauty this campground is for you. This will definitely become a frequent for my partner and I

A great expierience for the whole family

The campsites are large and spaced well. The bath house was immaculate and the whole experience over all was fantastic. The camp ground played the goonies while we stayed there. It was my daughter luna’s first time watching and to be in the great outdoors surrounded by other families during the pandemic was truly a godsend. I will never forget this campground and will be back.

Great park, great location, minimal pricvacy.

If you’re looking for an affordable weekend campsite with everything you need to enjoy the outdoors and more. Everything about the stay was amazing. However, the only downside was the privacy between campsites was little to none on one side. Camping for some is about leaving neighbors at home and being in the great outdoors to enjoy nature. The campsite next to us was looking right into our site the whole Time. Other than that, the staff was helpful and insightful. Not to mention polite and professional. If I could I would give this site a 4.5
