Sites have a fire pit. It’s free. close to the lake. The bathroom was pretty clean. Good for being a car access spot.

This is a great backcountry spot that starts from Chief Mountain at the Canadian border in Glacier National Park. You will have opportunities to filter water, catch shade, fish, take in amazing views, and push yourself physically on this hike to the camp. The fishing is not particularly great at this lake, but wildlife is of course very abundant. The aItes are all on the water’s edge and the temp wIll drIp conaIderably at night. Bring bear spray and mosquito repellent. As always, practice total backcountrysafety.

The spots aren’t very private. The mosquitos are intense. The walk to the lake is 2 mins. The view at the lake is amazing. Get there early because it does fill up.

Great for anglers. Prepare to wade to get amazing trout at the head when the stream flows in. Be grizzly aware. We had one at camp.

This is worth the hike. Fishing is great. Grizzly were around so be careful. Bring mosquito repellent. Sites are in the trees and cozy. Fires were not allowed. The outhouse is wretched. Try not to breathe in there.

Don’t even try to use the showers, you may catch something. The spots are all exposed. It is beside a highway. Try and go somewhere else. You don’t stay in those tipis. It is on Blackfoot land, so fishing costs additional to the tribe.

We stayed at the state park. The people at the office were friendly. It cost $28, but the site we chose we could have privacy, and the view was nice and close to the lake. Mosquitos weren’t even out, so that was a plus.
