Large, private campsites. Friendly ranger staff, and fantastic beach a short drive or walk away.
A beautifu wooded campground high up on a bluff overlooking a stunning beach. Campsites were well spaced with lots of privacy. Extremely loud highway noise with frequent truck downshifting and braking for an adjacent speed zone. For us this noise greatly diminished the otherwise very nice campground.
Park is now under new management. Very tightly packed spaced on a grass lot. We were not even able to open our awning fully due to push out trailer next to us. We paid extra $10 for river view but all we could see were blackberry bushes in front of our spot. Park was quiet but windy. A good place to home base for the redwoods.
Note: park had good WiFi coverage but uses Eero devices in mesh configuration. This left very little bandwidth for private WiFi connectivity in park.
Well kept RV resort. Level concrete pads, good wifi, nice pool. Not a rustic campground so may not be a good match for those wanting to roast a marshmallow. Recommended!
Verizon: 96 down, 15 up T-Mobile: 82 down, 10 up
A fantastic camping experience at this park. Spaces are spacious and private. Miles of bike/hiking trails. Beautiful overview at the mouth of the Columbia river. Mosquitoes were not present.
A beautiful park among dense forest. Full hookups are available only on the main road into the park so expect lots of traffic. ATT has good signal here, Verizon has poor and T-Mobile has none.
A nice place to stop overnight. Spots are tight with only a few feet between push outs. There are a lot of birds nesting in the park and they were very noisy in the morning.
Perhaps the nicest KOA we have ever stayed at! Clean bathrooms, Ice cream, cafe, adult beverages. Our only complaint was that there was live music every evening and the sound bellowed across the campground.
We stayed in the newly renovated E loop. It is a giant clear cut area with no view of anything in the park. The wind blew strongly from the south each evening making it unpleasant to be outside. When the wind did not blow the mosquitoes came out in force. Most worrisome was the sub-par electrical infrastructure. Voltage sagged below 110 volts with several outages. We ended up running on battery and charging it back up at night when the power was more stable.
They brought firewood for sale directly to our camping spot. Weather was dry and no bugs!
