A nice state park. Clean bathrooms with showers. Good sized site with nice privacy. Good hiking around the lake and mostly dog friendly. Nice play ground with horse she pits.

If I had to guess I think it was about a quarter mile hike to the site. There are a few back there but once there it feels secluded. Kids had a great time exploring climbing on a little rock wall that was back there. Single porta potty for the sites.

We did a group camp and had a great site. There were 3 families and had plenty of room. I’ve bathrooms but the only shower was by the beach and a long walk.

We love this area but way to crowded during the summer. We went in the late fall and it was great. Only a hand full of campers and the trailers where quiet. Kids lived climbing on the rocks.

Spent the weekend and was impressed. Most sites are well spaced for a state park. Clean bathrooms with flush toilets and showers. Wood and ice available to purchase. Walked down by the beach but it was too cold to go in. Sandy beach but looked like a rock bottom. Great hiking right across the street with views of little springs. Kids lived it.

This is a great place to camp. We have been back a few times. They have sites on the lake and off. If you can get a site on the water I highly recommend. There is a trail between the site and the water but still is great. The bathrooms were always nice and clean with hot showers. Not much for play grounds but the kids enjoyed skating around the looks.

We have been to Menomonee park several times. It is one of the kids favorites. The sites are just about all wooded. Not huge but a good size for a country park. Most offer decent separation from your neighbor. The Ranger will come by often with wood to buy. There are a few group sites separate from the family camping. Large but in wide open fields. The park has a lot of trails for hiking, biking and some horse trails. The quarry is good for swimming, kayaking, or canoeing. There is a beach with life guards.

I would say sites are average size for a county park. All sorts are mostly wooded and offer good shade. There are miles of nice hiking trails, a nice beach, pavilions to rent, horse riding trails, archery range and I’m sure I’m missing more. There are pit toilets by the sites but a nice shower house with flush toilets about a 1/4 mile walk away. We have camped there several times and plan on coming back.
