There are only 10-12 sites and it's first come first served, so can definitely get busy. But if you come early in the am and just wait to poach a spot, that's the way to go (especially on a Friday). Can't say enough about this location. Stunning in all aspects. The dark sky nights are unbelievable, and it's a short walk to one of the country's most breathtaking overlooks. Worth all the effort to get here. I'm a BLM dispersed camper by nature, but this is one official campground I'll go to.
Love this area. Never anyone around. Very quiet. Long drive in but worth it. My biggest piece of advice is leave the official campground and go slightly off road further up the road away from the campground. Tons of spots. Totally remote. We stayed 3 nights and never saw another car or person. Love this area.
This is easily one of my favorite places in the Southwest. Just beautiful and rarely anyone here. Yes there can be wind but nothing terrible. I've camped here in a tent maybe 10 times and never an issue that bothered me. THE KEY is the drive off road AROUND the edge of the canyon away from the official campground. Plenty of space and you camp right on the edge of the canyon. Incredible views and experience. Just watch where you are walking at night :) I almost hate leaving this review because I really don't want more people to find out about this place.
Perfect for a night. Lots of places to park/camp. My only complaint were the mosquitos. Tons. But if you have spray you'll be fine.
Great campground located at one of the great undiscovered national monuments in the west. Love this place. Last time we went we were the only people there. Amazeballs. And the natural bridges are sick. Awesome hikes.
