Rangers are NEVER at the window to check people in.

My husband is a disabled veteran and they had us park in the back 40, no where near the ocean, moved us 3 times and we ended up in a mud hole spot.

Ggreat campground. Hosts are few and far between. Handicap shower was broken the whole winter (showerhead needed replaced) simple fix but never done.

We absolutely love Whalers rest. Staff is awesome, so much to do, and located very near the ocean. Spent the whole winter on the coast and this by far was the best place.
