We camped at C-52. This site was very spacious, easy to back into, and level. This was a HUGE site, lots of space between neighbors. We love camping with lots of trees and nature. Great campground for biking.

We stayed here in late October 2020 in site 9D. We had FHU and our site backed up to the stream. They have lots of antiques and uniques as decorations. This is a very kid friendly campground. Clean bath facilities.

We camped here in late September 2020. Site 8 has lots of cons…… #1 main road to other sites and cabins runs directly behind site…. #2 cabin on right side is EXTREMELY close to your camper….#3 the bridge between main campground, cabins and store/office/kiddie activity/bath house is on left side of camper. You are pinned in and feel as if you are in a fishbowl for all to see. Although we parked where they told us to, made us move our vehicle 2 times to let big campers thru the tight driveway.

Bath house was clean, lots of activities for kids, close to G’burg.

We were here in mid Sept and in site 15. It was a very small site with a half deck. If we had camper with slide, we would not have been able to use our slide in this site. The private shower rooms are nice and clean. The roads are rough dirt and gravel and not conducive to bike riding. They do trash pickup and deliver firewood. Chickens run free thru the campground.

This is a campground located in a tiny valley between two small hills/mountainsides. Tom, the proprietor, is friendly and efficient in guiding the guests to their site. We camped here in mid Sept 2020 and had a great time. We were in site 8. The bathhouse is small, but clean. The stream runs below the campsites. Each site is a pull-thru and is in the form of a crescent, so everyone’s door faces the stream. They can handle the smaller TT to the largest monster-sized motor homes.

New River Trail is one block from campground. You can ride bikes from your campsite to the trail. The trail is almost 57 miles in length and we rode 15 miles out and 15 back to campsite.

We stayed in a newer campsite in the rear of the campground. IT WAS AWESOME! It was site #17, up on a slight hill and it had a really nice deck.(WiFi and cable are great in the entire park).

Jomeokee Campground is a well cared for small campground and has such a calming and peaceful natural vibe. If you like “natural” “real” campgrounds without all the asphalt and concrete, you will love this one. I camp to get out into nature.

The trees, the adjacent pastures, the farm pond, the rolling hills, and the scenic views make this a great little campground. The bottom row of sites looks directly at Pilot Mtn in the distance. The sunsets are gorgeous.

The large grassy fields have lots of kids and adults playing ball and frisbee. They allow tent groups and everyone seems to be having a great time.

This is a very quiet campground at night. The camp host leads you in and makes sure you are situated in your site. Another camp host delivers firewood to your site if you place order.

The bath house is centrally located and is clean. They also have a dump station on the property.

The owner rides thru frequently and visits with campers. This campground is very pet friendly.

We were there in late July 2020

We enjoyed our mid-July trip here. There are so many loops and roads within this park, we had a blast on our bikes. We were in site G41 and loved the private feel of the site. We had trees and shrubs on 3 sides. This is a huge campground. The only downside is that they literally lock you in at night. You cannot attend an event or concert that runs late….because YOU WILL BE LOCKED OUT….LOL.

I guess I didn’t take any photos of this trip…not sure why.

We camped here June 26-28 and had a great time. This place has an actual water park within the campground (although closed for COVID). We had FHU and were in site A3 right beside the stream. In this park, all the sites are dirt only, no paved pads, but do have rock fire rings. The WiFi was pretty good considering the number of people who were probably using it. This is a gated campground, you only enter with a pass card.

Bath house was clean and the grounds were very well maintained. The pond dam was really close to our site and the rushing water will really lull you to sleep at night.

We could not have Christmas with our kids, so we went camping. Where? To our new favorite campground, of course!

Back to CP. We were in site 11 on this trip and we reserved it because it is close to the bath house.

The campground has only had about 12-15 campers in it this week. We love the quietness and the wind in the trees. It turned off really cold….I MEAN REALLY COLD, so I have spent a LOT of time inside the camper.

Here are some of our favorite things from this trip:

• Clam Chowder (yes, buy the BIG ONE) from Swansboro Food & Beverage in Swansboro

• Lazzara’s Pizza on Emerald Isle has some AMAZING thin crust pizza (save yourself and don’t settle for Michangelo’s pizza…. not even close to the deliciousness of Lazzara’s)

I did a silent video that show several sites and how big and well kept they are. I showed the end of the nice bath house and captured a few scattered campers and a brave tent camper……brrrrrrr too cold.

We camped here in late June 2020. We had a W/E back in site. We had site 45. The sites are a little closer than we like, so this will not be a campground we return to.

There were lots of kids and lots of kid activities. The park is lightly shaded and the WiFi does not reach most camping areas.

We camped here near end of July. This is a COE park and it was well kept, clean and easy to get to.

We had a back in site with W/E, 94B. This is a good interior site. There are great sites down on the peninsula that have water views but we were not able to get one on this trip.

Bike riding in the park is fun and there are plenty of areas to bike.

We came back for Thanksgiving week and had a blast! We were in site 1 and it was awesome! It is bigger than site 17 and you only have a neighbor on one side.

We rode bikes on the marsh trail which is just down the road the campground is on and watched kayakers and fishermen launch from the pier.

All the items I touched on in my October review are still true. Bath house clean, grounds well kept and host friendly.

FOODIE TIP:

If you have the chance while in season and while camping….call Bekah Bay Oyster Company and order some of her farm raised oysters….so clean and such a sweet taste. We opened ours on the half shell and grilled them in the shell with butter and Bull Hot Sauce.

We camped here in October 2020 and stayed in site 17. It is a great site with lots of room between you and the next camper.

The bath facility is in a very nice building, is heated and has individual locking shower rooms so you have total privacy and security. The roads are paved and the paved pads accommodate up to a 70 ft camper/vehicle. Each site has a smooth, flat, gravel area equipped with 2 lantern poles, one large picnic table, and a fire ring with swing away cooking grate. Beyond the gravel areas are flat level areas of grass. The campsites are shaded by large, tall pines and other assorted trees.

The bath facility was very clean and well kept. The host was very friendly and helpful. The grounds throughout the park are extremely well kept.

Upon arrival, you check in with the host, drive to water fill area and fill up your fresh water tank. There are additional water fill faucets throughout the park. Your site is equipped for both 30 or 50 amp campers.

We really like this little campground and plan to come back again soon.
