This is a great little campground! There are 2 areas split by the highway. We stayed on the north side close to the creek. It was fairly quiet, minimal road noise. Clean pit toilets, water available, and $15/night was a great option. Close to several hiking and biking areas and Mazama general store. Great weather at the end of September other than a night with some high winds. We'll definitely be back!

It's basically a park with 2 RV spots tucked in at the end that were taken. The rest of "camping" is free in the gravel lot. Water and pit toilets, picnic tables available. It was close to the freeway, so there was lots of road noise all night.

7 yrs ago this area was dispersed BLM camping, but is now $20/day. We were surprised to see all the improvements made to the area, including campsites big enough for our 6x10 trailer and Nissan truck. Nice picnic table and fire pit. Several pit toilets that were clean and well stocked. The ground was too hard and rocky to drive in tent stakes though. Weather was warm during the day, comfortable at night. Road to campground is a little wasboard, but not to terrible for us and don't see needing too much extra clearance.

1st stop on our way to Moab. We were able to get our Nissan Frontier hauling a 6×10 trailer parked into the sight next to the Snake River. It was fairly level. Nice sunset viewing, not too buggy in early Oct. Lots of train noise thru the night, tho. Pit toilet was out of TP, luckily we had spare. We had an owl also visit the tree above us and serenaded us for a good 1/2 hr in the middle of the night (very cool). Overall, good stop for passing through.
