Beautiful views and close to Zion NP

Great spot! Go about half a mile down the road, and go SLOW and you should be fine, then take that second left turn like others have said and there are plenty of spots. That first left turn looked gnarly, like you could easily bottom out if you aren’t careful or don’t have clearance. The second turn is pretty smooth and there are some great views of the valley. Not 5 stars because it is a bare bones site, no amenities. I felt safe and it was a pretty spot to park for the night.

Spacious, free, close to Joshua Tree NP

I would actually give this campsite a 3.5 just because it is so barebones, no privacy, and where the pavement turned to dirt there was a huge hole that I hit just right and it was nasty - so heads up! On the other hand, it’s got lots of spots, it’s free, close to the north end of the NP, spacious, and I actually got pretty god internet out there! It is hard to see where spots are at night, but the sky is gorgeous out there at night. The roads aren’t horrible if you go slow (just watch out for that first hole!). Nothing fancy, but gets the job done.

Beautiful camping spot!

This was one of my most favorite camping spots I’ve ever been to. You are literally camping in between the beautiful rock formations and you are a stone throw away from the Arch. It is first come first serve, and $15 for a spot. I got there on a Monday around 10am and there were quite a few spots open, it’s a small campsite though so not very many spots. I put out a camping chair and a picnic blanket to claim my spot, went off hiking all day, and came back to it. The ranger usually comes by in the morning to collect payment is what the office said, and that’s what happened. Sites have fire pits, a standing grill, picnic table and there is recycling/garbage/restrooms at the entrance. I have AT&T and did not get cell service. Highly recommend this campground!

Super close to Grand Canyon south rim entrance

This spot was the perfect location. Like previously stated in other reviews - keep driving past the no camping signs until you see others parked. I had to drive down a couple a mile or two to find a spot because I got in pretty late, but there seemed to be plenty of spots. I have AT&T and I got service. It was bare bones and got the job done.

Peaceful retreat in beautiful desolate Carrizo Plains

Great little spot! I pulled in late at 10pm with my camper van. All the spots were taken except one tent camping spot - but it was super chill so im sure I could have parked in the large pullout just before the designated campground area. Just parked in the parking area of the camp area and slept in van. It was lightly drizzling when I woke up- absolutely beautiful! It was quite and everyone was very respectful. No water on site, people had campfires. Heads up - the road getting there is long and pretty rough, took a star for that - definitely washboard sections- so watch out for that. Happy camping
