Quiet spot in the pines

1 reason we came here first when looking for an RV park in Flagstaff = distance from the railroad tracks.  Train noise is not an issue.

We came back when we needed a longer term site for the winter.  Although the laundry room is closed for the season (back to laundromats for a while), everything else is working well.  Water spigots are heated.  People are friendly.

And I love walking out the back gate right onto a wonderful network of trails, everything from easy walking to a run on the AZT to a solid hike up Elden Mountain.

Quick access/short drive to the rest of town.  Downtown Flagstaff is also worth walking around.

Our particular site is at an angle to the ones next to us, which seems odd at first but it turns out that we don't feel as much "stacked up" and aren't looking directly into each others' windows.

Definitely recommend Greer's.

Our favorite camp spot near Moab

Very popular campground, close to town and next to the river; love the views.  We ran/biked on the bike path both ways along the canyon, with access to town, Arches, and several other trails.  Water available at Lions Park and also even better water at the springs just next to the road going east from the park.

Convenient stopover spot

Small campground right off the road, easy to drive in and make the loop to check out the sites.  Small hill, but no issues towing our travel trailer out the next morning.  There's a pretty stream alongside, plus a trail that seems to go back for a ways into the valley beyond.  Not much road noise at night.  A great spot on our way to Jackson.

Excellent dispersed camping close to Flagstaff

Easy to access.  Cosnino Road is dirt and in decent shape (slight washboarding).  The many side roads into the sites are a variety of ruts and bumps - it's helpful to pause the rig on the road and walk in to make sure you're OK with the "driveway" before committing to a particular site.  Also might be more challenging in wet weather.  Popular place, always someone in one site or another but there seem to be quite a few to choose from, close to and far from the road.  Quiet at night; the train is a couple miles away and we can hear it if we listen for it, but way less loud than in town.  Options for sun or shade, plenty of space, mostly easy to get level.  Some cell service (Google Fi), not super strong but manageable.  We're enjoying ourselves out here among the trees.
