This site #8 is one of the larger sites at Sullivan Creek.
It’s right next to the river and about 150 yards from the road.
At the site: Fire Ring, and a bear box. Across the road there is a vaulted toilet along with a few campsites there next to each other.
Pack in and pack out! Sullivan lake is about 2-3 miles west and priest lake is 20+ miles to the east. If you do not have a 4wd vehicle I wouldn’t recommend driving on the service road to Priest, and depending the time of year the snow pack about 10 miles in will stop you!
Huge sites, clean bathrooms, great camp hosts, and tons of hiking trails. You can hike to Baker Beach from the A loop. The entrance is near the group site by the bathrooms. The hike is approximately 2.4 miles one way.
We stayed in site A11 that had a 30 amp hook up. There are no water hook ps or dump sites unfortunately and not all the sites have electric.
Campground is about 5 miles from Florence.
We stayed in site F16. It is close to the main lodge and the cafe.
The showers and bathrooms were very clean.
The campground is about 1 mile from the west entrance of glacier park!
We stayed outside number for which is close to the entrance. The beauty of being so close to it there is cell service so if you need to get in contact with anyone, it’s about a two minute walk.
This is a small campground with about a mile and a half. Luke goes around the lake, which is a easy hike. I was able to carry my newborn on a pack and didn’t die. Lol.
The lake is very small and his non-motorized vessels only.
This is a little hidden gem, my wife and I go to every year. I think more people should enjoy it as well.
All the camp sites have Electric, and water hookups. Some have sewage as well.
There is a dump station, and propane fill up on site. It’s $25 to dump. The sunset cafe in the campground is is nice and has covered and out door seating. The food was lovely.
They have a small gift shop/store on site too!
Make sure you bring an extension cord to hook up your electric just in case you have a short standard cord on your camper.
There are several shower/bathroom station through the campground and kept very clean.
The campground is about a mile away from the main entrance to Glacier Park (West Entrance)
Overall, we loved our stay and will be back!
We stayed at site 14.
Close to the bathrooms and water, nicely shaded and open.
We stayed in A Loop site 5.
Great location only a 2 minute drive to Diamond Lake and 5 minutes to crater lake national park north entrance.
Only downside the bathrooms were not the cleanest and you shared it with the local spiders:)
The free showers and dump station was a plus:)
We stayed in site 8. It’s near the restrooms and water.
The lake loop takes about 45 minutes to complete.
We stayed site 1. We were able to park our 25ft tent trailer and two vehicles comfortably. The fire pit is spacious and has several areas to hang up hammocks and a dog tethering system.
The bathrooms are a 2 minute walk towards the river and we’re very clean odor free during our stay. The falls are approximately a 5 to 10 minute walk depending if you want to hang out on top of the fall or below. Access to the top is fairly easy and has several pools you can sit in to cool off.
You have to walk further down the path to access below the falls. The lower area is really busy and the top has less people. If you plan on bringing your fur babies the lower area is safer and more room to swim.
The Lewis Trail runs along the river and you can hike to the middle and upper falls and are approximately 1.5 to 2.5 miles access.
Overall this was a great place and we will be coming back next year.
We stayed at site 10. The site was small and near the bathroom. The river is across the road and has a nice path to the water:)
We camped at site #14. Approximately 5 miles on East of East Sullivan Campground heading on Sullivan Creek Rd. (All camping is Free on Sullivan Creek Rd)
The site is near the river (multiple paths for easy access), has a bear box, and a fire ring. Make sure to bring proper toiletry supplies to use the old fashion style because the closet toilet is 2 miles away.
The site was great however the fire ring is about 30 yards away from where we parked our tent trailer and would be ideal for tent camping and is very shaded.
Overall great trip!
The campgrounds are located on Sullivan Creek Rd that runs along Sullivan Creek. There over 30 sites along the river over several miles. Some of them do not have numbers. All the sites are first come and are Free
We camped at site #6 over Memorial Day weekend.
At the site there was a bear box and a fire ring with a moveable grill cover. Some of the sites do have bathrooms. However, we didn’t have one so make sure to bring the appropriate toilet supplies. The size of our site could fit two Rv’s and several tents (Our pop up tent trailer is 25ft). The site has a lot of shade so depending on the time of year make sure to bring the weather appropriate clothing. During our stay it got very cold and we needed to use our heater.
The river is about 35 yards from the site and the dirt road is about 20 yards from the main Camping area.
Dogs do not have to be on leash. However, this time of the year the river was cold and very fast and if your dog is not trained using a leash or tether system for safety would be beneficial.
There are several hiking/game trails you can walk or drive too. Sullivan lake is right down the road about a 5 minute drive you can access additional hiking trails.
Firewood is not provided so make sure to purchase prior and/or bring a ax to cut up the wood that has been left behind.
Overall we loved this area and will be going back this summer when it’s warmer and the river is safe enough to swim with our dogs:)
Here is the exact coordinates of the site #6
