Campground Review:
While the lake and amenities were amazing (boat and paddle board rentals all day!) The camping itself wasn't our favorite. The sites didn't offer much privacy and had paths (to the bathrooms) right through many sites. We arrived on a Sunday and left on a Monday so it wasn't too crowded, with many open spots so the privacy didn't bother us too much. This is a family campground for sure, but we'd honestly consider going back just for the Lake and the views!

As a Ranger for The Dyrt, I get products to test from time to time- today I am testing the Wenzel Double Never Flat Fabric Air Pad (https://wenzelco.com/double-neverflat-fabric-air-pad/). Honestly, we're HUGE fans! I'm plus sized and my fiance is quite tall and we fit on the pad, had the best camping sleep of our lives, and the pad didn't deflate! A little bouncing didn't effect it either ( ;) ). I'd recommend this bad boy to anyone! We really loved it and will definitely be purchasing other Wenzel products!
Campground Review:
Such a beautiful campground with so many families! It was wonderful to see kids (and parents) everywhere. The views were fantastic from all sides, from giant old growth trees to sparkling water views, this is a MUST camp destination! We went during Memorial Day, so the campground was crowded, but our spot, 183, was honestly perfect. It felt separate from the many other campers. The Park Rangers were phenomenal! Someone had taken our spot (they thought it was drop in camping) because we arrived so late, but the Rangers came and sorted it out. We got into our spot and set up just as it was getting dark, they made sure to check up to make sure we got into our site. They made our experience so wonderful and easy!

As a Ranger for The Dyrt, I get products to test from time to time - today I am testing the GCI Outdoor Recliner (https://www.gcioutdoor.com/tailgate-chairs/outdoor-recliner/). I wish I could give this chair 10 stars, honestly! The chair was wide enough for my hips (size 18 women) which is ALWAYS a struggle, the recline is just enough not to be drowsy, but relaxing, and the “pillow” is the perfect storage for the chair’s bag. We LOVED sitting in these both by the campfire and at the beach (and maybe even playing video games in front of the TV at home too ;) ). Our only complaint was that it was difficult to play guitar in them, but that’s not a huge factor for us! We’ve definitely added these chairs to our recommended brands and will be keeping an eye out for other gear from this company!
Clean, quiet campground with nice views! It felt far enough away from the big city, but still close enough to get to easily! Sounds of the waves lapping along the shore all night and birds chirping in the trees all day
over all nice, port-a-potty’s are okay. overall nice campground and right on the bay! very close to downtown so always something to do!
roughing it to the max, but close proximity to all the sites of Homer’s Spit and epic views! often rowdy groups, but mostly clean! the ground is all rocks and the winds are fierce, but it’s a great weekend spot!
The whole park was clean and pretty quiet! It was right on the water and was exactly the right distance from Seattle to make us feel like we’d really left! Book ahead of time cause it fills up pretty fast!
