Nice reservoir!

Stopped at this place after leaving Yellowstone and beginning to head south. It is nice reservoir! Swimming, boating, kayaking, etc! You can pretty much choose your favorite spot around the whole reservoir and just park and set up camp. Weather was nice mid August and no mosquitos which was a big plus for me! This place was a perfect midway stop!

My favorite spot!

Turn left not right. The road is easy to miss, just a little dirt road off the left side of the road coming out of the NE entrance of Yellowstone 10 minutes passed Cooke city. No service but the bistro in Cooke city will give you WiFi if you eat there and that helped us get our navigation. This is my favorite place by far. The photos will show you why.

Nice spot on the river

Perfect spot right on the river. Not many spots but found one when I arrived around 6pm. Not positive but I think there are more tent campsites that you can walk to but not drive in at the end/bottom of the road.

This place is awesome

My boyfriend & I were the only 2 people probably in at least a mile radius. Complete privacy in a giant field of flowers that make the air smell absolutely amazing. There are sheep everywhere and they love to talk (my boyfriend was a little annoyed when they woke him up in the morning but I thought it was cool). Amazing views here. Overall just a fairytale spot. We stopped here between our drive from Zion to Teton. Would love to go back to this spot! Rough road but doable in my 2WD 1999 4 runner

Best canping outside of Grand Canyon!

This place is the perfect place if you are visiting the Grand Canyon or if you just want a nice quiet and beautiful place to camp. The directions are accurate & I had no trouble finding it. I went in August 2020, the weather was perfect and comfortable for sleeping & it wasn’t crowded even when we arrived after 7pm. Would 1000% stay here again.
