Close quarters, not dog welcoming but clean bathrooms .

See photos of proximity of McD’s and more, road noise, loads of long-term residents.

This is a well oiled machine with staff that works hard to accommodate guests

This was a great place to land for a number of days. We were at the sites with and without hook ups. The bathrooms were well maintained and conveniently located. The office and gift shop had everything you might need. The laundry was well maintained as well. Showers cost 2 tokens that were purchased in the laundry room which was open 24/7. The views were beautiful and it was a busy but didn’t feel crowded even though it was full to capacity.

Enchanting yes but could use more restrooms

It was off the highway by 7 miles but easy to get back on in the morning. There were a number of fun nostalgic things to walk and look at. The sites were close together and appeared to have a number of long term residents. It was quiet and well marked out. There was only one bathroom building up in the front of the property. It was well lit and felt safe.

So many bonus areas: dog area, picnic area, new bathrooms and amazing gift shop!

Check in at the trading post was breeze and included kind and helpful staff and amazing artifacts and gifts for purchase. The park was in the midst of landscaping improvements. The bathhouse was very modern. The fenced in dog area was so welcoming after traveling all day. The views were outstanding, even with the wind. It was a well maintained property.

Sparse and close to the road but fit the need

We arrived in time to meet the staff. There was a KOA right down the street but chose here for a simpler stay. We were here just one night as we passed through. The showers were hot and it felt safe.

Great price for the beauty and space

The RV spaces were close together but there was so much land around the sites to explore. It was safe, not far off the main road but no road noise. You could hear the trains but that in the plus category for me.

Easy access but then in the wilderness

The front desk staff were knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations, maps and literature. I do also suggest taking the ferry into New Orleans. The price for a site was half price for folks 62 and older. The sites were spaced out well and there was plenty of level ground for setting up. There were a few playground areas that seemed to be enjoyed by families and walking the dog on the pathways and road was pleasant. I would recommend this park to friends.
