Gorgeous

This review is for the ACE campground all the way down to the boat launch. There is another CG with similar name. They are not the same. 50 amp service and water. The sites are gravel. Well maintained. They are however, quite narrow to enter. Also the 9 miles in from KY 80 are hair raising.

Big sandy

We booked our site early and made sure they were “big rig” friendly. The entrance was encouraging. However, the dirty dusty heavily trees (hence the name Forest) curves narrow road down to our site was not pleasant. The site was narrow, table and fire pit behind the rv and did I say dust? Ugh. And a lack of rain really made it twice as bad.

That being said, the store was nicely kept as was the rec room. Staff was also pleasant. The location is great. If considering ask for a site on the main drag. Much easier to get into.

A beautiful property needing tlc

This has to be one of the prettiest campsites we’ve stayed in. On the water, shaded. Serene However, I thought I had full hookups. Come to find out none of the oceanfront sites have sewer. They do have a honey wagon that will pump you out on Mondays and Fridays for 25$ a pop.

They also have a lovely heated pool

However, the bath houses are horrible. Badly in need of modernization and upkeep. Every morning the toilets were stopped up. The showers were mildewy. Uck

And there is defined an issue with the water. When we turned in the tap the water ran brown.

I paid a lot of money for 7 nights- over 900$. Expected more in the way of amenities.

A bit rough

The location is fabulous. On the Sampit River and close to the cute little village of Georgetown.
The road in is rough. Not paved. About a mile long. Hold on. Was told the cg is under new ownership and there is work to update and clean it up. That being said, 30/50 amp pedestals, sewer and water. A small view of the river on some sites has been blocked by new cabins. There is a boat launch and marina as well

A stop next to 80

Very pleasant staff. Under new management. Grounds are in need of a little sprucing up. 🤞

Cheyenne, WY

We made it around 5. We were led to our spot and given a special adapter to receive 50 amp service. Good. Staff is very pleasant. CG is old and tight. No sewer we we are, but there is a dump. There was a heated pool, that’s all the kids cared about! Lol

A great overnight stop

Right off 80. Close to a few museums, specifically the archway museum. Nothing fancy about the sites. Gravel and sunny. A lake for swimming where there was a fire pit. Beautiful bath house and laundry.
