A little rustic, some like it that way.

If you prefer a little rustic and secluded and don’t mind vault toilets if you don’t have your own, this is a perfect place. It’s very wooded and the sites are private. It offers something for ATVers, horseback riders, anglers and hikers.

A City Park with a View

Clean, small, but with all the amenities. This little campground is hosted and managed by the City of Park Falls. It’s well kept and there are even basketball courts. There is a great view of the Flambeau River and a small public pier for fishing. I would give it 5 stars if it was more wooded.

Not for camping but a great day activity location.

If you’re looking for a place to rest and play for the day this is a good choice. I grew up in this region and this little spot is a hidden gem for day camping, fishing, picnicking, and swimming.

Quaint and free.

This is a historical pavilion park with a great playground. It’s a free place to camp with really no hookups, but there is a public bathroom which is open seasonally. This quaint little town offers a few bars, locally owned restaurants and lodges (look around the outskirts) and a gas station. Don’t expect to stay here over the holiday weekends though as there are often local activities going on here, including fairs. Normally I would not give it so many stars except..hey, it’s FREE!

Overall great with all amenties.

We love this as a “go to” place for family. The lake location is perfect with both sunsets and coves. There are cabins as well as a few tent/rv campsites and a wonderful bar/restaurant on site. You can boat to a number of other bars and restaurants as well. The only negatives are that it is a bit crowded at times and the bathrooms are fairly simple.

Quiet. Remote. Only a few sites.

This place is fairly new and in excellent condition. It is well maintained. There are only a few sites and most are drive through. There is a beach on a 39-acre lake. I highly recommend this place! https://www.vilaswi.com/lodging/camping/torch-lake-campground-and-rv-park/

Clean and Cozy

This place is clean and the sites are few but very nicely laid out. There are three sites up on a ridge “overlooking” the lake. I use that word lightly as there is a lot of underbrush so it’s not super easy to see the lake. The lake area is smaller but pretty and there is a boat landing there. Personally I’d say it’s best for canoeing or kayaking or only a smaller boat.

Scenic, peaceful, remote.

Together with the nearby Audie Campground, Perch Lake Campground offers a quiet and beautiful place to tent or RV camp. We were there in the fall and the colors were amazing. Sites are well spaced, private, and treed.

Wood, private, and scenic.

This is a place that’s worth searching for. It’s fairly isolated, contained within very rural Rusk County in Wisconsin. The camping spots are well wooded and provide plenty of space and privacy. The photo have shared is of the remote campsite. It sits very alone on a smaller lake or part of the Audie Flowage that is great for kayaking. The entire Flowage is great for kayaking or canoeing.

Clean, Basic, Reasonable Price

We stayed at Chlebecek’s Riverview RV Park for 4 nights in July. It is a smaller campground. Most of the units are set up “permanently” for the season. People are friendly and the facilities are clean and well cared for overall. There is recycling/garbage readily available to use as well as a dump station. The only drawback is that, despite the name, it is not on a river. It is near a small creek/tributary to the Pine River. The creek is only a few feet wide and runs through a bunch of reeds. A bridge crosses over the reeds and creek to get to the office for the campground. We used this campground as a place to sleep and eat but spent most of our days out exploring the area. Pine River itself is small but has a nice park on Pine River with a small beach area and playground. There are also docks there for fishing and we took out kayaks there and could leave and return from the same place. You do need to call for a reservation and leave your credit card number to hold your site. At this time it is not possible to book online or by email.
