Great campground in Sleeping Bear right on lake.

Stayed October 4, 2021.

Plenty of room at campsites and sites were spaced out.  Vault toilet was clean.  Sites have table and fire ring.  Water and dump station available.  Easy walk on boardwalk through dunes to Lake Michigan.  Platte River campground has showers if you want to take the drive.  The large dune climb was close by.  Just up the road was Glen Haven with its historic village and a Coast Guard station museum, but all were closed when we were there.

Some sites would not be able to accommodate pull campers or large RVs.

Nice campground on Lake Superior.

Stayed October 1-2, 2021.

Plenty of room at most campsites and sites were spaced out well.  Our site was partial shade with table and fire ring.  Level.  Vault toilet was clean.  Easy walk to get to Lake Superior beach.  Four sites right on lake, but would have to be reserved well in advance.  In general, would be quiet, but one night another campsite thought the whole county wanted to hear their music from 6 - 9 pm.  Fills up fast.

Water spigots and dump station was available.

Nice, rustic campground

Stayed September 30, 2021.

Clean campsite on river.  Vault toilet clean.  Level.  Stairs down to river, possible fishing.  Our site was nicely shaded.  Quiet.  Camp host sold firewood.

Nice campground on Mississippi River with downside

Stayed August 4, 2021.

Campground was neat and tidy.  Vault toilet was clean.  Most sites had view of river.  Some sites were fairly close.  A railroad mainline ran along the campground.  Our site was about 100 ft from rail and campground was where train would blow their whistle.  Until midnight, trains went by about every 1/2 hour.  After midnight about every other hour.  Gave campground a 4, but experience was a 3.

Great campground on the Missouri River

Stayed August 3, 2021.

We had a campsite right on the river.  Level, enough space to not feel crowded.  Vault toilet was clean.  Quiet.

Shaded campsites

Stayed 8/1/2021. Nice, quiet campground. Plenty of shade. Easy drive to Devils Tower/Bear Lodge. Vault toilet cleanliness was barely okay. Water spigot available. Would stay again.

Nicecampground, beach and lake

Stayed July 28-29, 2021.

Nice, mostly shaded campsites.  Road and sites were somewhat narrow, and larger RVs and fifth wheels may not have room to maneuver.  We were at site 6 and had a trail that led down to a very nice beach on New Fork Lake.  We swam and also used rafts to paddle through the narrow inlet between the two parts of the lake.  Vault toilets were clean.  No water or dumpster.

Not too far from GTNP.

Stayed July 20, 2021.

About 20 individual sites.  We got the last one upon arrival, but there is an overflow area which is an open field near the horse corrals and there were no campers using that area when we were there.  Should be enough room for anyone who is just done looking for the day.  There were a few water spigots for filling jugs and the pit toilets were clean.  Had dumpster and campground was quiet.

Great site on river

This is the first camping area you come to on Trapper Rd. Two more areas further on. As another said, blink and you will miss it. Sites set up for tents, we backed our truck camper up in an open area of the lot and had a great view of the river. We registered for and used #2, which has a nice shade tree. Price ranges $5-10. Vault toilet was spotless with plenty of TP. We were the only ones there. Downside was when the breeze quit the biting flies and mosquitoes attacked. Stayed 7/19/2021
