Best Camping in NRNP

What a great spot. Good amenities plenty of space, and walking distance from some of the best views in the park!

Nice Getaway

This place is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Charleston, some really beautiful trails and great for mountain biking. Decent amenities as well.

Get What You Pay For

Went for this over some of the more expensive campsites. Wouldn’t have been as bad if we didn’t get covered in about 6 inches of snow during tent setup (late May). That’s our fault but still, it’s a really far drive from any of the main parts of the park and don’t expect any cell service whatsoever.

Very Convenient

Awesome spot, great views and not too far from Estes which is nice. Plenty to explore around the campsite as well.

Fun Spot

One of my favorite spots. Amazing panoramic views of the badlands and nice amenities. Also very close to the lodge, a small town, and some other cool stuff.

Amazing Views

Stayed here in late May, it was freezing so be prepared but some of the best views I’ve seen. The drive from Mt Rushmore to the campsite was incredible, and some great hiking just around the campsite. Sylvan Lake is also gorgeous.

Beautiful Spot

Incredible campsite especially for the price. Not too far from Jackson Hole or from some of the best hiking in the park. Also some real pretty stuff to see just around the campground, a fun little hill to summit with amazing views.

Great Spot

Good amenities, nice rangers. One downside is it’s quite far from most of the main trails/attractions in Yellowstone. Don’t underestimate how big this place is and be prepared for a lot of driving! Had a herd of bison stroll through the campground which was a pretty amazing experience.
