Hot in July, but quiet and enjoyable

The forest was closed in Northern Arizona so I decided to camp out at Dead Horse Ranch SP.  I was pretty pleased overall with my trip.  My campsite was comfortable and private enough, considering how close the sites are at this campground.  I had some shade trees to help keep my travel trailer cool but definitely needed to run the AC all night in order to stay comfortable.  The RV sites here have fresh water and power, but no sewer.  There is a dump station at the park entrance that is easily accessible when both entering and exiting the park. I enjoyed fishing, hiking, and bike riding while I was here but had to limit my outdoor activities to the morning hours due to the heat.

One afternoon I went into old town Cottonwood, which is only a couple of miles from the park.  It's a great place to visit if you're into antiques or wine tasting.

Just outside Waco, and close to food and services

We called the number in the listing and spoke to Mark right away.  He texted me the street address of the place, which is 1123 N Lacy Dr, Waco, TX 76705.  When we arrived he greeted us, and even offered to back our trailer into our spot when I told him we were new RVers.  Mark was friendly and helpful, and maybe a bit of a comedian.  We felt very welcome.  Our site was roomy and entirely paved, with a BBQ grill and picnic table.  There were grassy areas separating us from the other campsites on either side of us.

Great RV park just outside of Jackson, MS

We stopped here on our trip across the country with our small travel trailer. When we called, the host answered right away and we booked the last spot they had for the night. Melanie was very helpful with detailed directions on how to find the campground. She said some of the information on The Dyrt was out of date, and she would fix it. The phone number worked to contact the camp but sending a Facebook message did not, so call to be sure you reach them.

The shower/toilet area was large and very clean.  This place is right off the highway, so if you're noise sensitive you might want to consider that.  We left the AC running all night, and the white noise drowned out most of the highway noise.

There is a pond on the property, but we're not sure whether you can fish there or put a small boat into it.  It was nice to look at though!

Great first time RV experience

My wife and I just purchased a travel trailer and set out on our first adventure.  We found the Suwannee River Bend RV Park on this app and gave them a call.  They picked up right away and confirmed they had a spot for us.  We were going to arrive after the office closed so they said they'd look out for us.  We were greeted right away and led to our spot.  It was a nice spot with a view of the river.  There was a boat dock and I could see fish jumping in the water.  The WiFi is acceptable and the shower area was clean.  Overall this has been a great first experience.
