Great find!

We stumbled across this state park and absolutely loved it! The kids loved sliding down the waterfall! We loved the hiking! So much to do. Nice campsites with water at each site. The center of each campground is left as an open field. Families would play ball, games, everything in the evenings. Each camping loop had its own playground and pavilion. The bathrooms were older but they had signs up that they were getting replaced soon.

Great location. Lots of fun

Campground is located right downtown on the river. Kids loved jumping in the river, floating down a bit, and climbing out to do it all over again. We did several trips into the Smokey Mountain National Park. This was very convenient. The kids loved the bounce pillow and pool. The laundry and bath house were extremely clean and very upscale. I would say the only downside is that right across the river is a tall hotel.

Great location. Ok facilities.

The location was great. Close to everything we wanted to do. We toured the Biltmore, slide down the sliding rock, and made some other stops in Pisgah National Forest. There is full hook ups so most people use the bathroom in their trailer. We used our toilet but chose to use the provided showers. They were older but clean. The ducks that wandered around were a bother. They pooped all over our carpet and other things. Other than that it was an average campground.

The perfect peaceful spot!

We have camped here for generations. Absolutely love this place. So much to do! Kids love tubing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, and campfires. The park also has special programs and activities all week long. There is little cell signal so it is a great place to turn off the electronics and just relax. We have tried many state campgrounds but this is the only one we keep coming back to. This park has just so much to offer everyone.
