Idyllic spot right on the river

This campsite is pretty minimalist, but absolutely beautiful. I was hoping to stay there but pulled in kind of late and the parking seemed full. There’s room for about two cars just above the campsite, as well as about three just over a tiny bridge. There were several tents set up on a meadow /flood plain of the river. In the morning I scoped it out and there were quite a few tents set up there, maybe 5? Kind of haphazardly placed with little space or privacy between them, making me think that there is no infrastructure of individual campsites.

Wooded, not much else.

This campground met my needs (a place to sleep on a road trip), but didn’t strike me as a place I’d want to stay for long. It’s not far from the highway, and the car noise mixed with the wind in the trees, so it wasn’t bothersome, but certainly audible. I didn’t see a Spring anywhere, although presumably there was water somewhere. Some spots are pretty far from everyone else and surrounded by trees, while others are in the middle of the campground and back up into one another. I really enjoyed both the sunrise and sunset amid the pines, but that was really the only thrill there. Has bear boxes at each campsite. Very hilly, some spots might not be accessible with a trailer

Beautiful creek and Mountain Views

I stopped here for a night on a road trip, and it was a highlight of the trip. Stunning views of the Sierras, campsites are not too close to one another, the bathrooms were clean and not to smelly, the creek was a delight. It was easy to get to (paved roads and not too far from the highway) but still felt a bit removed. I hi gilt recommend. I took the first loop, easily found a few empty campsites at about 5pm on a weekday, and never realized how big the campground was.
