We found this place by mistake looking at another location close by. This is a wonderful little place. Sites are adequate and bath houses are clean. We already booked another trip.
This is a peaceful but busy park on Jekyll Island. The campground is in a wooded area. You can ride bikes to the beach or the ruins on the island. The bath house is clean and sufficient. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the mosquitos. At no fault to the campground, just GA blood suckers. Take your Off
This campground is nice for a short stay. The falls are hit and miss depending on how much rain. They have been almost dry to roaring where rescues have had to take place. We stayed in the campground across the street from the falls.
This campground is perfect for families. They have a playground and fishing. Kids can ride bikes and swim right at the bank near the campsites. Closer to the entrance to the park there is a veterans memorial.
We have stayed at this campground several times. Lots to do with the kids. Stone Mountain has so many free activities without going into the pay area.
Perfect location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We wanted a site by the river but the river is also by the road. We heard raid noise all night. Next time we will pick another site. Bath house was beautiful and clean. Will stay here again.
We spent two nights here car camping. The temperature was in the 50’s in June at night. Perfect car camping weather. The bath house and shower was clean. Can’t wait to go back.
