Love nature

Great experience.

Spacious sites. Really great giew of Salt Lake. Bison roaming the campground. Only downside, no blockers from wind. Nice pavilion for shade and a picnic table, in ground fire pits, and large parking areas. The campground fee does include the day use fee, unlike where we are from in Colorado. Loved the site. Would return. We had a tent and it was very windy, one of our poles snapped.

Great Campground!

We got site 51. Apparently sometimes I can't read and it was a walk in tent site, we have a lot of stuff, luckily they had wheelbarrows you could use. The site has a clear view over a pond and to the left you can see Colorado National Monument. The sites are so well maintained, the camp hosts were at the sites next to us within 10 minutes to rake the areas. No trash anywhere. Heated bathrooms. Trash cans available. Will gladly reserve here again!

Rough Night

Booked a site through recreation.gov. Pulled up and someone took our spot with an RV. They were setup and after checking availability we moved to site 4. Site 4 was a decent site, with good brush to block some wind from the tent so not a bad trade off. The bathrooms were right next door but they were clean. No one checks this campground. No one else paid for their site that night even though the campground was full. The cows and the geese were so noisy all night, pretty sure some calves were born. There are no garbage cans. Other than that the campground was clean and fine for $12.

First camping with our kids

This campsite will always have a special place in my heart. This was our first campground we stayed at with our kids. Right on the beach. Close to the water. Noisy for the day, lots of ATVs and such. Bathrooms weren't the greatest but anything will work in a pinch. Had a fantastic time. We weren't right on the water but an easy walk. Beautiful sunsets. Would camp here again.

Fantastic

Very close sites, but really nice. We stayed right in the river. Very friendly campers next to us. Bathrooms and showers were really clean. Really enjoyed our stay here. We got lucky finding a site so close to the entrance to Zion.

Make sure you check your camp site on a map!

Initially made reservations at the point campground. There is NO shade. Cancelled and remade for Lake Hasty campground. Had a good time. Visited in spring, but it was HOT!! Very glad to have had the shade. Lots of owls. Lots of birds to watch. Bathrooms were a bit of a walk, but we were right next to the playground. Did some fishing, had a muskrat steal our fish. Lots of rattlesnakes. Also learned that rattlesnakes can swim. Easy drive to Bent's Old Fort which was great. Overall, nice but factor in weather when making reservations.

Fantastic Time

Went in early October. No shade at the site. We stayed in site T03. Setting up camp and deer walked through the campground. The following morning a flock of wild turkeys took a stroll through. We were on a hill right above the water, but it was an easy walk down to the water. Did a lot of fishing. The first night we couldn't keep all the poles in the water we kept catching. Caught and released everything, including lots of crayfish. Quiet area. Did some geocaching as well. Had a great time. Bathrooms were very clean. Only downside was the day use fee on top of the camping fee and having to go to the kiosk everyday for a new day use pass. Loved our spot, will visit again.
