It looked like a decent place to camp with river access. I was disappointed the camp was closed due to fire. I saw a couple campers but I didn't stay.

Not bad

Correct coordinates: 43.2558019, -122.1650183

Small forest camp right off the hwy, next to a creek and is shaded. There are at least 4 campsites, each with a fire pit/ stove, picnic table and room for a small RV (less than 25 ft). There is wifi, and a toilet near the entrance. No trash services. Pack it out.

No trees

The road in is a bit rough: rocky and rutted. Campsites are fully exposed so there is no privacy, but it's great for charging your solar system and viewing stars at night 😉 Campsites have stone fire rings. There are no amenities here. Pack it in, pack it out.

Near town & CRNP

Plenty of campsites available in the off season with stone campfire rings and hiking trails nearby. Close to road so you can hear vehicles go by but there was very low traffic in late October. Has cell phone reception and great views. No toilet, picnic tables or garbage bins. Very primitive.

Meh, but it's close to MVNP

The road in is deeply rutted. The campsites are unlevel but has a stone campfire ring. No toilet, garbage bins, picnic tables or views. It's just a place to park your vehicle or small RV. No frills.

Mid-autumn camping

The campground is very close to Silverton, about 1 mile off hwy 550 along county road 7. Not a lot of traffic or road noise. The road is gravel with some small potholes not worth mentioning. A sedan could make the drive easy. The campground is next to the creek, exposed to sunlight and has mountain views. You'll be driving and parking on small river rocks. A little bumpy but nothing too terrible. There are stone campfire rings, a toilet (bring TP), but no water (other than the creek) or garbage bin. Pack it in, pack it out. Very primitive, clean and quiet campground on a Monday in November.
