Well kept campground with easy access to trout fishing below the dam. The staff is friendly, the sites are very nice and your Keep America Beautiful pass will get you half price on your site!
Well maintained, friendly staff, few trees due to the 2012 tornado that came through the area, golf course and lodge available.
Only an hour from Memphis, this campground is VERY nice - three camping areas, two lakes with boat rentals, 6 cabins, and a gorgeous 27 hole golf course. It is always well kept, the staff is pleasant and they have a small store at the visitor center.
Located on a huge lake, the campground is clean and the hosts are especially friendly. We did not know about the tornado damage in 2011 while we were there, but we did like how wide open the campground was even if it was cleaned out by the tornado. The lodge and golf course on top of the mountain behind the campground. Small store at the check point and you have to buy their firewood. Wish we could have stayed more than one night!
This campground is clean and the managers are nice, but it is not a campground you stay at for its amenities. It is a good location to see all the sights in Memphis or to stay a night or two. There are also several workers who stay there when certain events are in town.
VERY nice state park! There are 3 camping areas, two lakes, and a gorgeous golf course!
The drive into the park is not very pretty but once in the park, it is VERY nice. The staff keep the area clean, they are aware of who is supposed there and who is not - bath houses and laundry are clean. Spaces are ample.
