Pretty campground

Beautifully wooded campground. We stayed on site 41 and there was plenty of privacy. I don’t think both sides of the campground are the same in that regards though. There are 3 nice and short trails, 2 with a great view and the other that is quite steep down to a swimming hole. Stayed during Covid-19 and facilities were kept really clean, considering the park was full when we were there. Conveniently close to downtown Brattleboro. Only downfall is since it’s so close to the highway, you can hear traffic all night.

Cute place

My family and I stayed here a few years ago in the tent area. Not all sites are secluded, but we were the only ones so it was nice and private. At the time there was only one port-a-potty for the tent area we were in and no water source. It’s a dog friendly park which was good for us, our dog could swim in the lake with us. Cute patio overlooking the lake as well with seating. Wood delivery is awesome especially since tent area is a slight distance from office, but that is also a bonus so you’re away from the RV sites. Also price is reasonable for a private campground considering the rates a lot of other places charge.

This is not camping

If you DON’T enjoy privacy, or peace and quiet, or rules being enforced, such as quiet hours…then you will maybe like it here. You can basically see every Campsite from anywhere in the park, barely any trees in between sites to add privacy. My family and I happened to be here on a full vacancy weekend, and it was so loud, we might as well of been at a festival. Not to mention the group that BLARED their music until 4:00 AM…I am not exaggerating, I was awake from 1:45-4:30 listening to it, and the other group of people talking impossibly loud as well. I will never return, and not worth the outrageous fee of $33 a night for a state campground. This place sucks!!
