Apparently i like to stay at places that arent even on here but all of them are fun to me! I really like going new places and seeing new things!

Beware storm season

Campsites were a little close together for me but they aren’t horribly bad. These plenty to do there if you want to rent a kayak or canoe or paddle boards. Fishing is also pretty prominent there but we didn’t catch anything. We were there during storm season and it was quite a ride in the tent! Hiking trails aren’t well marked so we just stayed along the river.

Nice sites

The area is pretty quiet and has a river to fish and kayak. Hiking trails lead to some really pretty water falls that not many people know exist. You will need to bring most supplies with you as options are limited at the park.

quiet

This campground is out in the middle of nowhere! it’s very quiet and nice but if you go in the summer be prepared to be hot! Restrooms aren’t close but sites are close to the river for fishing! Colorado bend state park is close by for a day trip and sites are also cheaper here and more readily available than there.

Awesome

This campground will always hold a special place to my fiancé and I, as we got engaged here! We stayed right on the bay and there were gorgeous sunrises and awesome sites. There was plenty of space to spread out at camp and not have to worry about intruding on someone else. The rise and fall of the tide is a bit tricky if you want to kayak very much because you might end up dragging it through the mud if you stay out too long. Restrooms were close by but the only downside was that the showers were at the main store so you had to drive all the way up there! We arrived after hours but since we contacted them earlier in the day, they accommodated us by leaving a map to where our campsite was!

Cute and Quaint

Upon arrival, the front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. We found our way to the tent sites, nestled in the very back corner which for us was exactly what we like. Sites were a medium distance apart but still spacious enough to not be close to neighbors. Showers and restrooms were nearby and it being a weekday, there really wasn’t much traffic of campers or hikers. It was cozy and tucked into the woods with town only being a few miles away!
