Pretty little compact campground

Great little campground, located super close to the entrance to monument valley trail. Each camp has a picnic table, fire pit and little shaded gazebo.

Only a few (5-6?) sites at arrowhead although the sites are fairly close together.

Sunset views over the mesa’s were spectacular.

Accessible with a 28 ft Rv, although care needs to be taken when entering the road off the main road as there is a steep gradient on the other side of the ramp. Campground is on red sand so care is needed with parking your RV.

Hidden gem outside of the canyonlands

We found the dispersed camping spot by fluke after reading reviews of the hamburger rock BLM camp just down the road. Wow. What a gem.

Plenty of pullouts / drive in spots of big RVs and a heap of camping spots. We shared the space with 20 climbers who were climbing the mesas during the day. We have a 28ft RV and easily found a camp spot at 3pm on a Saturday. Road is gravel but very manageable/smooth -ish for a large RV.

Pullouts start from 200m off thr main road and continue as you head north past the formal hamburger rock campground. Stunning views of the stars and sunrise photo ops!

Can’t recommend enough.

Amazing views, rv friendly, mouse traps advised

Cracker spot, not to crowded (1 camper per 100m?) Fire pits provided and lots of pullouts for RV. Sheer cliffs on either side of the camping area is breathtaking.

We have a 28ft and we ventured down the gravel road a couple of hundred m to find a good view. Road is a little rocky (small rocks) so just take it slow. Clearance not a problem but just slow speeds to make sure you don’t pop a tyre. There is a graded gravel section of the campground for those with big rigs not wanting to tackle the rocky road.

We inherited several mouse friends overnight as did our closest neighbours so do bring traps.

Great little overnighter close to the 139 & I-70

Entrance is via 139 just before the 8 mile marker, you have to drive over a cattle grate and road is gravel. We were in a 28ft RV and the first 3 pullouts were very accessible, last one (furthest from the 139) was a little sketchy to reach at 10pm - would recommend for a smaller rv / 4x4 as there were a couple of large pot holes. We relied on Google maps satellite view to guide parking / finding pullouts at night.

No facilities I could see but there where 5rvs & caravans parked overnight. Pretty view over distance mountains & mesas at sunrise.

One pile of illegally dumped rubbish present else fairly clean/pristine.
