Adventure beyond this campground and you can camp on any island in Sparks Lake. Insane views of South Sister and Bachelor. Very isolated and fairly accessible. Great spot for those who have kayaks or rafts.
Although I did not stay directly in the campground, I was able to find a peaceful spot on the beach next to the campground. Amazing view of stars and an incredibly warm lake to play in. One of my favorite spots thus far.
This campground was a great way to start out our journey down into the canyon. There was running water in the bathroom and places to dispose of garbage as well as a place for campfires. Only down side was how crowded the campground got.
The Hoh River Trail is a bit of a trek, especially with high water levels in early spring. My favorite place to camp was Lewis Meadow campground about 10 miles in. Beautiful location with places to set up along the river. Primitive toilet available as well as bear wire.
This is a super secluded campsite that is very difficult to drive to. Amazing place to stay. Beautiful stars and an incredible spot to play in the river. Awesome to see the white river and clear creek come together. Very basic campground. No running water.
Much less crowded than the more popular Bright Angel Campground near Phantom Ranch. Loved the fact that there was running water and some outhouses even though it was still spring. Able to find a site that was further away from other people so it was super quiet. Be aware of the crows though, they will tear up any packs left on the ground.
