First time at Wax and we will be back! Some of the nicest shower houses, cleanest sites and nice shade. Even when the campground was full over the holiday week, you didn’t know you had neighbors!
Love this campground. Have not found a bad spot yet. Family and pet friendly
Family friendly Halloween fun. Has a decorating contest with trick or treat in the campground. Safe and clean with lots of restrooms and lake front sites
This campground books 6 months out. Very hard to get a spot, but so worth it! Water front sites in cove so not a lot of boat traffic. Quiet park with great gravel spots.
Absolutely loved tent camping here! Several modern bath houses with showers, toilets and sinks. Tent sites are spacious enough for multiple tents/ canopy's to be set up. Waterfront and has stairs to walk down to the water.
Lacking in restrooms and shade trees. Good for boaters as there is a nice sand bank to pull your boat up to.
It is family friendly in most parts. No lake view sites, but has a fitness trail with some neat stations accessible from the campground. There is a beach (decent walking distance away)
The campground is located inside the state park entrance so the gate fee applies to your first entry, but once you check into your site you can come and go as you wish. There is a little camp store with decent prices and lots for the kids to do.
Great for tents or trailers and everything in between. 3 playgrounds with safe clean equipment. Plant of lake view sites and positioned to provide a semi private experience.
