We've always loved the outdoors, but recently upped our game with a pandemic purchase of a camper from Boulder-based Colorado Teardrops.

Great spot close to home!

This is an unexpected gem very close to our house where you can't see a tree for miles. It's peaceful and not crowded. Be sure to check the forecast because it can get very windy at times.

We had the place to ourselves

Loops B and C are closed this time of year and we had the campground to ourselves, with the exception of a late arriver. We normally look for dispersed, free camping, but this was good as far as paid sites go. And, Colorado Natl. Monument is gorgeous.

Cold but gorgeous

Very secluded spot this time of year despite being relatively close to I-70. The camping spots farthest in are by far the best. Our perseverance definitely paid off.
