This was my first true camping experience, and it won’t be my last. McGill campground is large with dispersed camping sites and we lucked out even more and got a huge space in the group camping area. We drove in on a Friday around 8am for first come, first serve and there were some good spots to pick from. The woman host was the sweetest and very helpful, so glad we met her. Each site has a built in picnic table and fire pit and sitting around our pit was the perfect spot to watch the sunset every night. The only downsides were no running water and not enough shade for how blazing hot it was.
