Park pass is $5 but the park is beautiful and a great way to spend the afternoon!
$5 to park and other expenses to do stuff in the area but well worth the trip if you are into: Ziplines, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Fishing, Swimming, Kayaking, Geocaching, etc!
Go for the star gazing! This park is far enough out of the way to get great views of the night sky.

Lots to do for the whole family - kayak tours, beach and surf explorations and bird walks
This park has a very popular mountain biking trail - well worth the stop.
Lots to do in the park - My recommendations are the Falls and the Caves. Only 15 sites so reservations are a good idea.
There is not a lot going on but there are some short trails for hiking and/or biking that are worth the stop.
The caves are seriously awesome! Definitely worth checking out.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is beautiful and this campground is a great place to stop for camp.

Some sites have shelters, all have water. Make sure you bring plenty of water on your hikes, coming from NC, it is something I need to constantly remind myself of this!!!
