One of the best camp grounds in CO

We spent a total of 8 days at this campground with 2 dogs and 3 kids. it was amazing falling asleep to the sound of the river at night and waking up to the call of singing birds. We enjoyed all the area had to offer. I recommend bringing decent bug repellent as the mosquitos can get heavy at dawn and dusk.

Loved this place and we will definitely be back.

The camp host are incredibly helpful. We had a few issues with our camper and they did everything to help us trouble shoot it. The area is beautiful, my kids had a blast playing with other kids and running around. Super clean, well laid out, great showers. Lots of families and dogs.

Great for kids and a few nights

Sites are paved easy to get into and very level. Power and water both worked very well and the dump station had easy access. 3 playground areas and a neat old civil war cemetery are located in the camping area. It is a part of the trail of tears and there are lots of historical things to look at. Only negative was the trash situation, I think due to the current COVID situation they might be struggling to keep up with the pick ups. Current construction looked like the were going to double in size this summer. Easy access to the highway. Camp host was a little grumpy but we all have bad days so not a big deal.

A nice quite stop worth the drive

We stopped here on our way to Kentucky from Colorado. It was easy to find with well paved roads into the camp. Water and power hook ups all worked well. The mornings we're very peaceful here and a walk around the lake was a great way to wake up. The dump station was easy to access, clean and well maintained. Camp hosts were friendly and kept the sites clean. Dogs were welcomed and the fishing was great.
