Cute little campground with great lake and trails!

We stayed in site B33 for a few nights in July 2020. The sites are kind of small for tent camping, and a few are a little too open for my taste, but our site had some lovely privacy hedges around it. The bathrooms were cleaned very frequently, which I found comforting given there's a pandemic. The beach and trails around the lake were nice and there's also another cute lake with a 1 mile loop trail nearby (Lake Marie). The only drawback is that it is near enough to the highway that you can hear trucks and sometimes ATVs going by at night. We will definitely come back this way again soon!

Drawbacks: lack of shade and proximity of neighbors

We stayed over here one night during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Our site (#54) was next to the water spigot for our loop, which was super convenient, however, it had zero shade cover and was very hot and dusty (again it was the first week of July).

Another issue (especially in the time of COVID) was that our site was within 10' of the other campsite. It was so close that when I was in my tent I was within 6' of the other campers' car. It was not ideal.

That being said, this was by far the quietest campground I've ever stayed in. Despite it being so full for the holiday weekend, you could hear the birds singing and the wind blowing through the trees. It was remarkable!

Additionally, there was a lovely walk down to the lake, the rangers were all super helpful, and this was a great location for us to be able to run to the nearby Hume Lake Christian Camp store for supplies or gas as needed.

Not bad for Fourth of July Weekend

We stayed over here one night on our way through to Hume Lake during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Our site (#75) was not very wide but backed onto a lovely patch of woodland that had deer and other critters passing through it.

We stayed over on a Wednesday night, and on Thursday morning they emptied the septic tanks for the pit toilets in our loop and the smell was a bummer during our breakfast. However, a very kind ranger visited that morning to update the site signs and made a point of apologizing to each group for the smell, which was nice.

The highlight of our visit to Princess was that after we camped at Hume Lake, we were able to stop back by on our way home and use the RV sewer cleanout and water fill-up station for free! It is usually $10 but for this weekend (maybe longer?) it was comped, which was awesome.
