Perfect camping in the woods

The tree cover was fantastic, it was 85 out in the sun but much cooler at the site. Sites were open but still secluded enough to not be bothered by your neighbors. Sites were large, had a nicely maintained picnic table. Showers were clean and hot!

Great river spot

nice park right on the river. Some noise from trains at night but not bad. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained, showers as well but they lack privacy.

Nice quiet area

Sand camp is essentially a dispersed camping area. There is a large gravel parking lot and a pit toilet available. There is a path down to the Smith River where you can set up tents and tent camp if you want.

The toilet was a basic pit toilet, but it was fairly clean as far as those go.

We parked our VW Bus in the gravel lot for the night, it was very quiet. Though its next to a road, there is very little traffic at night as this area is fairly remote. The sky was dark and clear, perfect for stargazing. The few other people camping there were quiet and friendly.

Glorified parking lot for ATV enthusiasts

Spots are just large parking spots painted on the concrete. No site separation. When we arrived it was extremely noisy with ATVs and dirt bikes zipping all over the place. This didn't stop until about 10:30 when it finally got quiet for the night. Ok camp spot in a pinch. But if you're not here to play in the dunes it's probably not for you.

Large campsites, friendly staff.

We spend an evening here before exploring the Hoh rainforest.

Sites were large and reasonably private with dense bushes between the sites and the road. There was some mud, but nothing major.

Each site had a fire pit and picnic table. Our table had a broken seat on one side, and looked like it had been that way for quite a while.

Site had power and water but 30A hookups only, so my 15A RV plug wouldn't work with it. An adapter would have easily fixed this, but it's unusual to not see both.

Bathroom was reasonably modern, but wasn't particularly clean. Lots of mud and dirt on many of the surfaces especially the shower.

On site coffee bar was a nice touch, coffee was good and staff was friendly. Burgers at the restaurant were so/so. Not horrible but nothing to write home about.

The Restaurant/Store has a nice supply of basics like shampoo, toothbrushes, and other staples and souvenirs. If you pay with card be prepared for a wait, their credit machine is cellular and VERY slow at times.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay and it was convenient to visiting the Hoh Rainforest (just up the road from the main entrance)

Busy park, but sites felt semi private.

Campground was packed, and people were noisy up until the 10PM cutoff. But everyone was quiet after that. Nice space, bushes between the spaces make them feel fairly private. Nice hiking areas nearby and easy beach access.
