Great campground! The bathhouse isn’t the best but the scenery is great! There are gnats…and more gnats…and more gnats so be prepared for that. We got to see alligators and a beaver though while there. It’s a very fun park in the middle of town. You would Never know it though! To get a fishing license can be tricky though. Took us 3 stops to get to the right place. It’s the fish and wildlife facility kind of tucked back off a road.
We stayed here on our very first trip in our new motorhome and we could not have picked a better place! The people were very nice, invited us to a pot luck meal they were having at their clubhouse that night. There was a nice convenience store, nice enough bath houses and lots of fishing locations! You can hear the drag strip some but not enough to be a hinderance (or enough to really get your blood flowing either, if that’s more your style.)
Sometimes you don’t want to leave a great review because then everyone will know how awesome your favorite place is; and then they’ll always be packed. This is one of those times. We love this park for the environment, location, upkeep, topography, the people and so on. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in this area, go here!
The sites at this park are wonderful! Very relaxing and comfortable place. Very scenic and with water nearby. Great bath houses as well that have fun reading boards full of information.
One of my favorites in the are by far! There are kayak rentals at the office, very good prices for the amount of time you have it. The campground has great trails and bath houses. Some sites can get a bit soggy in different seasons but overall a great place!
Never had a problem here and always very relaxing! The sites are spacious and unique. Close to water and there is parking for company. Personnel are always very nice and the camp shop is very convenient!
The bathrooms are pretty nice, as is the pool we went to. Camp sites do not have burn rings, are close together and not private. Everything needs reservations though and the pick up and drop off times for the golf carts are very inconvenient. The arcade at the facility by the ferry was awful. Games not working and taking money, things falling apart, other games malfunctioning. Needless to say that was very unfortunate for our 9 year old and us after we put twenty some dollars on an arcade card for a bunch of broken games. Really for the price and location, I was pretty disappointed. It is a glorified, needing of updating and maintenance, overpriced campground because of its affiliation. Put this out in the country or somewhere lesser known and it’d get 5/6 stars out of 10; all day long. But it is still the cheapest way to stay at Disney.
