Busy backcountry campground

This campground is worth the work of getting there (backpacking on a bus for two hours!). It isn’t convenient for sight seeing but is a well maintained place with great views. Be prepared before coming here!

Great NPS programming and comfortable family camp sites

The campground was arranged very nicely. Though there are many sites, most are tucked away for some amount of privacy and quiet time. The bison roam the campground often. Being on the river is fun for recreation and wildlife viewing.

Northwoods MN Classic

Great place to stay for the adventurous, almost never packed but heavily hiked in the area. Kind campground volunteers, good water stations, well run.

Perfect destination to camp by kayak

We kayaked to many campgrounds and islands in the national lakeshore. paddling a total of 60 miles we were able to make it to 3 different island campgrounds. Bathrooms and picnic tables were at most camp sites, some camp sites were very desolate and rustic. No running water on some islands.

Unique, quiet campground near Boundary Waters

This is my favorite campground in all of Minnesota. Located outside of Orr close to 20 miles, there are no people or towns to make noise or light. The stars are incredibly bright at night. Plenty of hiking trails and great for fishing walleye.

Quiet, clean campground in Alaska

Beautiful campground with much to do all around. The Kenai Fjords National Park is close distance.

Perfect calm lake and mountain views

Bring your fishing gear! This canoground’s lake has a good supply of trout. Even found a greyling! The back country camp sites are in a remote walking distance. Plenty of sites year round with many hiking trails branching from the main trail head. Fire rings included in sites.
