Very well maintained. Right off the amphib base. Must have Mil ID to camp there. Kayak, boat, SUP available for rental. Easy access to all of San Diego

Nice area. Shaded, next to a stream, lots of wildlife, hiking nearby. Did not have my prepaid reservation. Lots of mosquitoes and poison oak. Quite a few homeless with shopping carts of belongings. Not much sleep because other campsites are loud all night long.Host is there for what?

Well worth the drive. Beautiful beach. Well maintained campsites. Clean bathrooms and showers. Friendly park rangers. Delicious burgers. Gets windy at night. Bring extra tent stakes. The general store/burger shack sells just about anything you could need for a great camping trip. Store is open for breakfast and lunch.
