Gorgeous park, crowded camping

This state park is truly beautiful. Great dunes hiking and kayak spots.

The RV area was crazy crowded when I visted. Kids running around everywhere. Enough people that it's as busy as a city block. This was late July, it's probably like that all summer.

Modern and clean

This spot has excellent showers and amenities and its beautiful

However it's expensive and if you don't make a reservation you might wind up in a parking lot at fullprice like i did

Underrated woodsy gem

This campground is located on a great access point for canoeing and kayaking.

It has pit toilets and really good tasting well water you have to pump yourself.

It was very quiet when i visited. The sites are on a bit of a hilly space that makes them feel more private

You can fit an rv in these spaces. Although it's well above water level my neighbor did have their tent flooded during rain. Maybe a better set up could work better though.

Lots of fire kindling and no worries on wild fire.. it's michigan dont cha know

Convenient Desert & City Location

Gilbert Ray is an extremely affordable campground located in Saguaro National Park. It doesn't have showers but it does have rv hookups and a bathroom with hot water dish wash stations.

It is located right next to Tucson AZ but features lots of hiking options in the national park. The best of both worlds. It has very helpful campground hosts and a tourist draw.. old west Hollywoodmovie sets.

I really like this safe quiet and convenient option as a single female traveler
