Gorgeous lake! Secret spots!

Beautiful and secluded place. There are sites right near the parking lot (and pit toilet) that are flat, plenty of wood for building a fire, picnic tables and fire pits, great for care camping. The sites are not private, and are quite exposed to hikers and other campers. Easy access to trails and the lake is 1/4 mile easy downhill hike. We hiked down to the lake and there are sites there. Beautiful, on the lake, first come first served. Highly recommend!

Family fun abounds!

Great places for families. Traditional campground with great swimming area, spots for fishing, and a small loop trail around there lake. Hard core outdoor enthusiasts will not enjoy this campground, not a lot to explore or do.

Fly fisherman's dream!

Beautiful, spacious sites along the Metolius River. Large enough to set up 2 tents, and I believe all sites have river access. Incredibly peaceful, close to the Camp Sherman store for supplies. Wood available for purchase at the camp host. A few negatives, no privacy from your neighbor, you can only fly fish here, no river access for swimming.

Great, easy backpacking

If you want to test the waters fort backpacking this is a great trail to do it on. Only 3ish miles to the camp sites. All are first come, near water. It's pretty socked in with trees so don't expect Much sun. Highly traveled sites unfortunately. The water is some of the most beautiful I've seen and there is a cute little mining town to explore close by.

Privacy and seclusion even in a campground

The sites are large and private, lots of amenities such as trails, boat rental, well equipped store, picnic tables and much more. Beautiful views of Mt Hood and the lake is breathtaking.
