Just a lady, her dudes, and her dogs camping around the beautiful state of Alaska, one campsite at a time!
Overpriced and Underwhelming

This campsite, while pretty, is very lack luster. Overgrown grass/weeds in each site make the mosquito problem (which as an AK resident I‘m familIar with how terrible they already are here, so proper maintenance is a necessity) almost unbearable to even be outside. The price to dry camp here, as there are no hook-ups, is $21 PER VEHICLE, per night . We always have to take 2 vehicles due to our kids and dogs so we ended up having to pay full camp site price just to park my car in a nearby space. They also charge $20 to use their dump station, which was insane since every other dry site we have camped at had dumping and water stations free of charge. There was nowhere for our kids to play, and because of the weeds/over grown grass/mosquitos, we ended up staying in the camper the entire time. I had high hopes for this area, but it was a major let down. I didn‘t even take pictures because we weren‘t outside long enough to do it. I would assume if your only goal while camping here was to fish, it would be great since they have very well maintained bridged walkways from the campground to the water, otherwise I would look elsewhere.

Gorgeous quiet campground with great amenities

Family friendly campground surrounded by creeks and trees. Quiet, clean, and incredibly friendly hosts. Hot showers and clean restrooms available for guests, as well as a “store” inside the check in office, with ice cream and other treats. Activities available on request (we got 2 frisbees to play in the open common area). I would recommend to any and everyone!

GORGEOUS spot to dry camp!

This is a dry campground, so all us camper/RV folks make sure to charge your phones up before coming out! The campgrounds are in numbered groups, with sites positioned in loops on each side of the road. Far enough apart for privacy, but close enough to know if wildlife is around. We have very spotty service when we’re out here, but we don’t mind because the views are far more note worthy than our phone screens. There are water fill up stations and dump stations at every camping loop, which was very convenient. The sites are very big (room for our 26ft camper, F-250 and trailblazer to fit) with a separate open area beside it with a fire pit, picnic table, and bear proof container to place our dogs food and portable grill. Quiet hours are from 10pm-6am so we were able to run our generator long enough for our boys to watch a movie before bed. Great sites, great price, great place to fish for salmon!
