Great area near all there is to do in Bayfield
Love this resort. It is the perfect size on a perfect size clean lake. We had a site right on the water with W/E and close to outhouse and shower house. We had our own dock and there were plenty of water equipment to rent. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We will be back and hope to bring others with us next time.
Right on the lake with private dock. Sites a close by. Most have water and electric. Full hookups are very limited. Only 4 site near the back. Off of a quiet road. No traffic noise. Lake is clean but dark with ore. Loons frequent. Turtle lake channels over to another lake. Makes a great boat or kayak trip. Boat kayak paddle board and paddle boat rentals available.
Friendly staff, nice coffee, great to pull in for an overnight stay. FYI- you need to check in between 3 and 5 pm when it is staffed.
Sites are not private and it is under construction to add more sites so it’s a little muddy. The pad is gravel which helps with water drainage.
Large camp site with trees abs wide open area. # 48 was stent site recently made into a RV site with water and electric hook up. This site did not have sewer but there is a dumping station right on sight. WiFi only worked in the lodge and ATT signal was very weak. Owners are lovely friendly people and their kids help run the place too. Lake is calm and peaceful. Saw a lot of wildlife and heard the sounds of loons in the Am and evening. We wanted to extend our stay but work was calling. I wish we had a way to connect to WiFi or a hotspot in our camper. The we would have.
Loved this location. 1.5 miles out of Bayfield, yet great outdoorsy feel with decent privacy. Can bike to the brewery or wineries and bike to town. Common area great for corn hole and a meager playground for the kids. Also super close to the gourmet garage bakery. Yum.
I prefer being in the woods, but this is great for last minute booking.
Pros. Full hookups. On park, next to playground and beach. Walking distance to restaurants and bars, And easily bike to the Cuyuna Mountain Bike Trails.
Cons. Road noise and low privacy.
