Lodgepole campground was clean. The camp host was very helpful and informative. There is access to the Colorado Trail right in the campsite.

We enjoyed one night in Chatfield. We were on the outskirts of D Loop. The western views of the mountains were beautiful. Better views in other sites but a walk about gave way to the front range. There was road noise as well as noise from remote airplanes. They were fun to watch but definitely loud. We enjoyed coffee with deer in our campsite the next morning.
