Quiet in thick wooded area

Not a lot of spots but the ones they do have nice fire rings, tucked away spots for tents, bear boxes and picnic tables. The sites are kinda close to one another so if you’re looking for private this is probably not it. A couple of bathrooms. We have not seen a pay station so not sure if it costs or not. One review said it did. Close to town of Red Lodge where you can get supplies, gas, etc. was able to easily get down the road with our 13 ft travel trailer. We had a couple of bars of internet!

Beautiful Views! Minutes from Worldclass Fishing

Beautiful spot just on Ennis Lake. Probably 6-8 sites. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. There’s also a bathroom on site! Decent spacing between sites but if it were full might be a bit crowded. Not a lot of wood to scavenge. Only 6-7 miles from Ennis which has a decent sized town to get supplies etc. Technically it’s in the town of McAllister and about an hour from Bozeman! Road in was easy so could have good size rig!

It’s a KOA - nothing fancy

I mean it’s a KOA. It’s kinda what you expect. We needed a place to charge batteries, do laundry, and shower! It’s a nice KOA though. There is a mini golf area. There’s two little fenced off dog areas! It’s close to the town.

Do not go here!!!!

We tried to get to this location from several routes. The roads are closed to the public!! You cannot access this supposed camp spot!!

Beautiful and great location

As many have said, there are about 6-7 spots…some multiple sites per spot some are single but each have a bathroom, fire rings and bear boxes. We traveled in September and those were all full so we had to drive quite a bit (still on Grassy Rd) into Caribou Targhee National Forest. We found an amazing spot but about 30 min down - right in the valley at the start of the reservoir. No bathroom no bear boxes. Primitive. Lots of wooded/shaded area. Private. Beautiful. Road coming in was mostly maintained but some moments of rough terrain but we made it in our 13 ft travel trailer.

Beautiful and open

Great spot!! We had to drive a bit up the road but found a great spot with wide open space and nice views of the Tetons! Lots of bugs but otherwise really beautiful! Not far from Teton or YNP if you’re on your way to either. We drove up in a 13 ft travel trailer!

Serene views of the reservoir and landscape

There are probably 7 or 8 spots with picnic tables. Most have fire rings and a grill but not all. Bathrooms within walking distance. Dry and bare ground scape so no wood scavenging to be done here. Bring in firewood for sure! Also wouldn’t recommend tent camping as the ground is gravel with lots of rocks of various sizes! Easy road in so could bring a trailer or RV of any size. Pretty views. Only one other group here so quiet and lots of space

Great area with lots of spots!

Beautiful area with lots of spots. We did find it hard to get one but we came late on a Friday. We were able to find a better one the following day. About equal distance to Cheyenne and Laramie approximately 25-30 min Beware: there is not a place near by to get beer or alcohol. There’s a small gas station with a convenience store but other than that not much for food or supplies even though their sign says “cold beer”. Lol. We learned that the hard way and had to go out at night to get our supplies! The star gazing is amazing and we saw lots of wildlife even with other campers close by. The spots are spread out but not totally isolated. I was worried about the condition of the roads based on other reviews but we were fine. We hauled our 14ft trailer with no problems. Some areas you just have to go super slow but mostly no issues traveling through.

Dispersed and pretty

We brought our little 13 ft travel. It was a bit bumpy but we went slow and we were fine. There were a couple other campers but overall nice space.
