BLM camping off I-70

this campground is right off of I70 making it a super easy overnight stop on my way west. there is definitely traffic noise. sites are pretty on top of each other. facing away from the road is a very nice view to take in so it's not all bad. there are ~8 campsites all with fire rings and picnic tables, some shaded others not.

scenic quiet blm

felt a little freaked out on the bumpy dirt side roads in my CRV so didn't venture that far in. was a little confused about where camping spots even were, but did find a quiet place closeish to the road to set up for the night. Worked out very well as a stopover. Gorgeous scenery. Patchy Verizon service.

nice but not for me

Super family friendly camping space. Best spots seemed to be for tent campers, but I was car camping and my space was decent. Super lively during the day, but mellows out at night. Nice bathrooms, lovely river flowing through, some light hiking you can do if you want , and walkably close to a cute lil town. Booked this place in a slight delirium so didn't really realize how busy and populated it would be, but it was pleasant for what it was.

easy I80 stopover

Fairly pleasant, easy, and freee place to crash on my way west. Other reviews really cover all the information worth sharing.
Special thanks to the two guys that shared their pancake and sausage breakfast with me. Hope y'all had a great trip!

dreamy night sky

Reserved a few days ahead of time and had a great spot on the river. Incredible view and an absolutely psychedelic amount of stars. A variety of RVs, trailers, cars, and tents were camping and while sites weren't all that far apart they offered privacy and quiet. Someone was mistakenly in my spot and the host was very nice and helpful getting that remedied. Would definitely come back.

great view, quiet spot

Arrived on a Tuesday late afternoon and the camp was pretty empty. I took site 11 for the view and it was lovely (13 looked even better though) . There is a little hiking path around the camp and I think an ATV area, but there wasn't anyone really using either while I was there. Beautiful sunset, sunrise, and a lot of stars. Windy in the evening, but settled down at night. Great spot to stay if you want to make it to Canyonlands for daybreak.
