Great views!

We visited this park in the dead of winter and we were the only campers there. There weren’t any services available but the site had excellent views.

Quiet, secluded campground

We had a great time staying at this campground. It was small and private, only about ~15 sites. Some were big enough for a small RV. There were vault toilets, picnic tables and fire pits. Minimal amenities.

Basic, primitive campground

This campground was very price and secluded. It had minimal amenities with vault toilets, picnic tables, and a fire pit.

Enough space for tents or rv campers. This place would get muddy fast!

Amazing campground!!

This is our favorite campsite ever - and we’ve been a lot of places!! It’s deep in the forest, prepare for a long drive. We listened to Jurassic park music the whole way there. You’ll see lots of wildlife and cross over some incredibly high bridges to get there.

The campground is very secluded and hidden in the trees. Sites are spaced out far apart and quiet.

It felt like we were camping alone even though there were plenty of other people there.

Bathrooms are vault toilets and even though they’re relatively clean you won’t want to spend much time in them!

There is no cell phone service but there are plenty of hikes to do from the campground.

My only real warning is to be prepared for precipitation! It was very humid and everything was covered in a layer of dew in the morning.

Great location and free!

Great location, there's a hike right next to the campground and it's a short drive away from prairie dogs and bison. We visited in the summer and it was very crowded. There is no shade in the area and the vault toilets were just ok in terms of cleanliness.

We loved that this place is free and so easy to access! Made for a great pit stop.

Beautiful location, no amenities

Gorgeous location right next to the lake. It was very quiet and open. We were the only campers there!

No shade or amenities where we stayed. There was lots of room to play around with the dog.

Quiet campground, beautiful scenery

Large, quiet campsites that are not too crowded. Near the back you can camp right alongside the river.

Amenities are minimal, there are just port-a-potties for restrooms but they are very clean. There are not a lot of stores in the area (closest is about ~15 minutes) so pack all of your stuff.

Relaxing place to stay!

Beautiful sites, a little loud

Beautiful, well spaced campgrounds that are flat and relatively secluded.

Good location, about 1.5 miles from the beach. The walk is not very shaded though so it does get hot.

Campsites we’re very clean and well-maintained.

My only complaint was that we could hear a train pass by a few times throughout the night. It wasn’t very loud but it did take away from the outdoor experience a bit.
