Just your typical CB overnight. Big rigs can navigate easily so long as the parking lot is not jammed full.
Have used this Cabela's a couple times while in the Raleigh area and this is actually one of the better overnight options in Raleigh, if just passing through. The parking lot is huge and completely empty at closing, making in/out with a big rig easy (I have no problem with my 44' TH). Also, plenty of food options within walking distance.
Only reason not 5 stars is it can be rather noisy, as this sits at the intersection of 2 highways and train tracks behind it (generally trains run in the early AM on this line), but noise really doesn't bother me. If you're a light sleeper you'll want white noise.
I was staying in Bozeman at the fairgrounds and was tired of being able to"reach out and touch someone", as is my neighbors, so on a whim decided to leave early and give Lost Moose Meadows a try(I'm always skeptical of private RV parks as my preference is more along the lines of state parks/COE campgrounds), and probably the best decision I've made on this trip thus far(3 months in).
This is a relatively new RV park(opened 6 weeks ago) situated in a valley near a small town(Lincoln, MT) owned/managed by a husband/wife team (Matt& Nichole) who put their heart and soul into building this park (Also, super cool folks, very personable). They built the park from the ground up themselves and it shows they were RVers themselves and built as they would want to enjoy. Each site is like a little oasis with plenty of room to stretch (B3 feels like a 1/2 acre lot, and likely not too far off from it), plenty long enough for even the longest of rigs (some of the pull throughs are over 100 feet long). There isn't a ton of shade however to be expected as the park is new and there will be shade as trees mature.
Originally I was going to stay here a few nights before continuing west however decided to stay 2 and a half weeks. It's a bit off I-90 however if you're simply looking for a place to stretch out, this is definitely it and worth the trek.
I live in Raleigh and use this campground if I need a place to work on the rig or staging before going out for months at a time. Full hookups are available at all sites and very convenient to downtown Raleigh. Check-in is simple and you can pick your own spot. Most weekends have a horse show next door.
Only cons are the sites are grassy and can get swampy when wet, and not very level.
