Secluded swamp

Pros: Quiet. Each campsite is a little secluded from its neighbors by some trees. Since it's small, it can't get too crowded. Vault toilets were clean. Away from light pollution.

CONS: SO MANY MOSQUITOES WE HAD TO LEAVE EARLY!! We had four types of insect repellant with us: spray (with DEET), the coil wristbands, citronella candles, mosquito coils. We were having to swat bugs off our almost-2-year-old constantly, and even then, Little One ended up with more than 20 bites and we stayed less than 24 hours. They were so bad, we didn't even stay up to star gaze but just hustled into the tent, and then spent ten minutes killing the bugs that had followed us in.

Also, the roads in are not well-maintained. A sedan might have trouble getting in.

I grew up in an area with lots of mosquitoes, but I've never been so overwhelmed. This site might be good before it's mosquito season, like May and June, and then possibly in the fall after a freeze, but I would not suggest anyone stay here July-September.
