Clean but a bit too close for comfort

I can't give any KOA a 5 star. It's the extreme of glamping. The only reason we stayed here cause my husband was running a marathon and hotels were booked and other camp grounds were booked. This was our last option. The people were amazing, the bathrooms super clean, lots to do for families with kids. But like I said it's just about too close to other campers. But you can see the mountains, enjoy the fresh air and go else where to have your mountain outdoor fun! :)

Fall camping is the best

As one other reviewer stated the road is a bit sketchy but well worth the trip. The sites are clean, the host is friendly and the bathrooms are decent. What is amazing is the fall colors, the river and the hiking. We always try for the last weekend of the season. Very quiet, and lots of trees changing colors. Enjoy!

Beautiful but noisy

We visited this place from a recommendation from a friend. We went over Father's Day weekend. The weather was perfect, not windy, not too hot or cold in the evening. Our spot was BEAUTIFUL with so many trees and shade. The bathrooms we SUPER clean and didn't smell. Camp hosts never came to check in with us, never waved or anything. Kept to them selves. There were many things we didn't like about this place such as the noise from the road near by, it was constant all night long. Also there was a pond near by, but it was all dried up. The rice was also near by but too hard to get too. And let's not forget all the warning signs about not leaving trails or paths. It was an old military training camp….

so there wasn't a lot for us to do, no hiking, no fishing, no canoeing. But we just enjoy the relaxing :)

Glamping

Favorite spot to go glamping. Pay showers (4 mins for 4 quarters) and there is power at the campsite. The hosts are always nice and other campers have been polite about quiet time etc…it's only a 22 min drive to the newly renovated hot springs pool. It's very hot during the day, but cools off at night. The beach is great if you can get a grassy area to put towels down. Love going here for a clean camping experience.

Beautiful views

We visit this campground every year in late August. The camp hosts are extremely friendly, helpful but also give you the space you need. We have a pop up camper. We always stay in the same spot which faces the lake. Bathrooms are always clean and so are the camp sites. We drive over to Steamboat lake to go fishing and take our canoe out on. You aren't allowed to take a boat of any kind on Pearl. The lake looks like glass and is so peaceful! You are allowed to fish from the shore and paddle board on lake.

There aren't as many tress as there use to be, but it is one of our favorite places to camp for 3+ nights.

Just down the road there is a little store where you can buy groceries if you have forgotten something at home.
